Une exposition de plus de cent tableaux a eu lieu au Musée du Faouêt, en Bretagne, dans le Morbihan, du premier avril au 17 juin 2012.

An exhibition of over a hundred paintings was exhibited at the Faouët Museum in Brittany from 1st April 2012 to 17th june 2012.
Les expositions Swieykowski prennent de plus en plus d'ampleur, sortant progressivement l'oeuvre de ce peintre de l'oubli et la révélant, dans toute sa splendeur, à un public fasciné. Le Musée du Faouët a sélectionné, avec un soin tout particulier, des tableaux qui offrent une vision complète de la gamme de sujets qu'affectionnait l'artiste, sujets intimes et traduits dans son style très personnel.
Ce Musée a produit un catalogue copieux qui donne non seulement une riche palette
des thèmes traités, mais procure également une biographie détaillée de la vie du peintre, vie remarquable s'il en fut, sans laquelle l'interprêtation de son art serait très appauvrie.
Formulons l'espoir que cette exposition permettra de découvrir de nouveaux tableaux qui pourront être ainsi répertoriés et viendront enrichir notre connaissance de l'oeuvre d'Alfred Swieykowski.
The Alfred Swieykowski exhibitions are going from strength to strength, progressively removing his works from oblivion and revealing them in their full glory to a fascinated public. The Faouet Museum has very carefully chosen paintings which give a complete view of the wide range of subjects chosen by the painter is his own intimate and personal style. The museum have produced a rich catalogue not only giving an appropriate range of subjects depicted, but also providing a detailed biography of his remarkable life, without which the interpretation of his art would be much the poorer. It is to be hoped that this exhibition will enable many more of his paintings to be discovered and catalogued for future events.
